When I arrived at work this morning I had palpitations for approx. one hour. Even taking deep breaths made me feel weak and standing made my legs feel like jelly. I bent down to lift something up and felt a crushing pain which then subsided and before they stopped I had another sharp pain in my chest. Has this ever happened to anyone before

PALPITATIONS
This might sound alarming to you but get an emergency GP appointment straight away, although if it happens again this afternoon head straight for A&E or call an ambulance. What you describe could be any number of things but they are treatable if you act now. If you don't you might not make it home tonight.
Don’t mess around with this type of thing, go straight to your gp or A&E
I agree with the earlier comments. But, of it happens again, don't bother with your GP and don't take yourself to A&E: dial 999 immediately. Nobody will mind if it's a false alarm. Even if you now feel ok, it would be wise to get checked out at A&E.
Thank you so much for your replies. I honestly think if the pains had of got worse I would have gone straight to the hospital better to be sure than sorry. They eventually stopped but I still didn't feel right last night. It was as if there was a lump in my throat sensation bit hard to describe
I’ve never had long palpitations but had scary palpitations where I felt them violently in my chest. My cardiologist said that my op needed time be rushed forward.
