Hi I think Fibrin sealant is used for wound closure during surgery.
Not for the major parts of op.
So may only be used for the small wounds during minimally invasive surgery.
It is made from blood products but I believe u can have it made from your own blood if u have strong beliefs.
May need to ask your doctor if this is possible. That's if he uses the sealant during procedure.
There may be an issue using a patient's own blood in relation to heart surgery. These days for many procedures they like to have the patient's own on tap so to speak. When I asked about it I was told they often do not take blood from cardiac patients as there is a risk that it might trigger a cardiac event. I needed a transfusion - I think it might be Australian with Italian ancestry!
I have had human valves in my heart made from my dna and love it. I wouldn’t have any different. It’s an awesome recovery as well. Yea I’m slower than normal wen recovering but I’m up and going relle quickly. Ive wreaked my heart so have no idea of normal recovery but I find it awesome.
