Hi Vonnieruth, you don’t say your condition so anyone will find it difficult to respond. I too work in a care/dementia home and work 12 hour shifts. My diagnosis has changed over the past 4 months and it is now LVSD but they can’t find out the cause. They are thinking maybe a virus. I have been off work for 3 months now but am planning a return to work in a few weeks time. Exercise is usually a good thing for most people.

Hi If you're managing shifts in a care home you're doing an amazing job. It's a demanding stressful job and I have huge respect for those who do it. Sounds like you get lots of exercise anyway and I imagine you are pretty shattered when you get to the end of a shift. If you like the idea of exercise go for it but don't overdo it. the big key with heart disease is to listen to your body and don't overdo it

How are you feeling at the moment? Is it too much now? Have you been allowed a phased return to work or did you not have time off when you were diagnosed. the best thing really is to talk to your GP as they know. If they don't then they should refer you to a cardiologist who can help you
