Can you continue to have a healthy sex life with atrial fibulation and high blood pressure I guess a girl still needs to know lol

Hi Vonnieruth no reason why not. When I was in rehab for HA. They said that doing the regular exercise would prepare the heart for a sudden increase in rate and said listen to how your body is and how it feels. Hope that helps. Cheers. Zena

I have a different condition to you, so can't offer specific advice. But I would say that if you have any remaining worries about this, do talk to your medical team. No woman wants any distractions getting in the way!

I spoke to my cardiologist after my cardiac arrest and before my ICD op and I felt so much more free and empowered once I had the go ahead😁, even if it did briefly feel a bit awks asking a man whose my Dad's age such a question in front of some studious junior docs, and my mum!

Worth it!

My husband asked my cardiologist similar after I had my ICD put in. Cardiologist said he couldn't imagine what my husband was planning to do that would ever get my heart rate that high! 😂 I was mortified that he'd asked but it is nice to know it's OK, not that I don't get paranoid every now and again. As others have said, Vonnieruth, listen to your body, do what feels right (ooh er, etc!) and don't be embarrassed to ask a doctor for advice if it will help you relax and...enjoy?! 😳 Good luck!

My cardiologist told me that love making was proven to be excellent for lowing blood pressure. However he still wouldn't prescribe his very attractive nurse for me!
