I think aches are normal and twinges, it's just the stent settling, I find it more uncomfortable than painful , but none the less worrying , go to your gp if you are really worried just to reassure you , best to be safe .

I had uncomfortable pains and twinges for good few weeks after my stent. Gradually they went away.

Still get checked out though if they are prolonged or you are worried.

Best of luck

Hi Linda

Like others after my heart attack and stent I had lots of different pains and discomfort. They eventually settled but it took a while I couldn’t tell the difference between what was normal so had a few trips to my GP as well as calling 111 for advice. As others have said speak to your GP or 111. You may want to speak to the BHF helpline they are really helpful as well. Take care. Zena

I had chest pains for weeks following my stent insertion. Do you have any GTN spray? I don't use it regularly but it did help just after my procedure. Do call the BHF helpline if you are worried. Sometimes just talking to someone about your anxiety helps.
