Anyone else have microvascular heart disease and Inflamatory Arthritis?

Have just been diagnosed with microvascular heart disease/ angina after coronary angiogram. Feel very lucky that I was enrolled in a clinical trial specifically looking for microvascular disease as had tests that aren’t included in a traditional angiogram.

I am 52 yr old female, have no cardiac risk factors ( exemplary BP, slow heart rate, walk 10,000 steps daily, not overweight, good diet, non smoker etc etc ) but I do have an atypical form of Ankylosing Spondylitis with some features of Behcets Syndrome and am on a Biologic medication as well as Methotrexate. I also have a thoracic ascending aortic aneurysm.

Anyone else on here have a form of Inflamatory Arthritis or any other auto immune disease and microvascular angina? If so do you think it’s responsible for your symptoms?

Hi Keyes, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, fibromyalgia, Secondary Sjogrens and last year got diagnosed with Mitral valve prolapse and SuperVentricular Tachycardia. While in A&E after having my worse SVT episode the Dr there mentioned that the inflammation levels in RA can contribute to heart problems. I also last week saw an article on Fibromyalgia that Mitral Valve disease can be an associated symptom. I didn't know that. I shall ask my Cardiologist at my next appointment.

Lu to Know what what they say. Closest UI come to finding a result is fibromyalgia cause muscle pain in chest.

I was born with heart disease and developed arthritis due to not looking after my heart condition and been told by my doctor that If i make lifestyle changes my arthritis will go as well as my heart condition will improve.
