I am taking Atorvastatin. They are the first ones that haven't given me side effects. Doh!

I researched this before following the link (been caught out by toxic links!). Although I suffered bad muscle pain with simvastatin this no longer occurred with atorvastatin. However, I am not eligible! More information is below:-

You may be eligible if:

a) you are at least 18 years old

b) you have stopped taking statins because of side effects

During the one-year trial you will take 4 months each of a statin a placebo (dummy tablet), and no treatment You will record any symptoms daily using a special smartphone app.

After the trial you will learn your individual result showing what proportion of the symptoms were truly due to the statin
