I was wondering if anyone had any advice please, my mom has a pacemaker/defib fitted (I'm sorry I know it is called something else but I cant remember the proper name). She had her 3 monthly check up last week, and they turned up the voltages in her device. However since that she has not felt right, felt life less, just wanting to sleep all the time and just generally run down. At first I thought maybe it was a cold because she couldn't get warm but no cold has come out. So now I'm thinking could it be something to do with them turning up her device?
Has anyone else come across anything like this. Any comments, help or advice would be greatly received.

Definitely contact the pacemaker clinic. Sounds like they’ve adjusted it too much. Give them a ring and explain it all to them, I would expect them to make an appointment for her to get it checked.
Hi ... I too have this device and at my check up at the ICD clinic ( I had been feeling great since having the device fitted) the nurse said he would just check my device and tweak it.
I then said " I have been feeling great since having this device implant, so if you want to change anything can you explain what you are doing and why before you go ahead" he tried to persuade me that they just make minor adjustments. I again pushed back and said I would like them to show me why they are making any changes... before going ahead.
He then sighed and said he would take an ECG to show me. However after taking the ECG he then said " oh it's working fine so I probably don't need to tweak it" " exactly" was my reply.
Sometimes I think at this check up they feel they need to make tweaks when they may not need to. Definitely contact the ICD clinic... there is a number you can call and they should call back within the day. Tell them how your mum has changed since they tweaked it and insist she is seen soon to reset to what it was. Good luck
