Has anyone ever heard of this Index and can understand what it means ?

Hello Frank.

No and no in answer to your two questions, so I did a quick Google search. HAve a look at this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frail...

I confess to being not much the wiser, but it does at least explain how its done. What it doesn't do is tell you everything that is measured so I'm not sure how useful it'll be. In short it a process that is trying to assess how frail an individual is that uses data from various sources.

I was just looking at my medical records and noticed it under tests, never been mentioned so just wondered what it meant. It would appear I have a score of 0.8 whatever that means

Sorry Frank. Loads of papers on the Internet but I can't find anything that explains a score of 0.8. I suggest you talk to your GP and ask for an explanation.

Looking at it CVD/Heart Failure are the 2 which I would score on the index. My GP is a very clever young lady who has an interest in older people !!! I am looking forward to my next appointment to go over it with her.
