Hi, I had a pacemaker fitted just over 3 weeks ago due to heart block following AVR and I still get short of breath, particularly going upstairs, but is getting better day by day. Are you on any new drugs? I was on gabapentin which caused breathlessness and a dry cough.

If you are concerned try ringing your pacemaker clinic and I'm sure they'll be able to help.

They are doing a download tomorrow so I guess they will know if anything is wrong. I suppose it is early days I am just a bit frustrated as I hoped to feel better straight away. Thanks for replying
