Hi.

After being treated for fibromylgia, then being told I also had Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.

I always felt ill, so decided to visit Gp. And mentioned I was not feeling that hot.

A appointment was made for a ECG, It was decided to send myself to Hospital via ambulance for further test.

Bed found, two weeks in Hospital with test to be completed.

It was found I had, Left Ventricle Non Compaction. A rare heart conditions.

Has anybody heard about it or has the same complaint and can give some guidance.

Thank you

Have a lovely day.

Hello there - sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. Left ventricular non-compaction is indeed a very rare heart condition. Our friends over at Cardiomyopathy UK have some great information you can read up on here: cardiomyopathy.org/left-ven... and they also have a helpline you can call.

I hope this helps, Chris

My husband is 42 and was diagnosed with LVNC 2 years ago he also has Dilated Cardiomyopathy. It was explained to us that the surface of his heart was like a sponge and this was dangerous because blood could pool in it. He was given an anti clotting drug to overcome this danger alongside his drugs for Cardiomyopathy. Cardiomyopathy Uk is a great resource and if you sign up for the My Life magazine it often features rarer conditions. The summer 2017 edition features my husband and also gives information about LVNC and it should be available from the website
