Just a bit of advice needed. I am attending de brief tomorrow as my son has been issued a serious incident at my local. There was many mishaps in my care leading to my son's birth. But I am going in front of people whom have never met me or my son?!
I don't understand why they have done that?? I'm so worried about it because the whole experience was awful. I have no clue how to feel or what to expect?? Can any e advised me please
Thank you
Nell

Hi Nell - sorry to hear about the added stress, which is obviously something you don't need. These debriefs are usually run by people who haven't been involved in direct care so they can be fair and objective. There might be things they say that aren't easy to hear, so it's worth thinking about if there's someone who can go with you for some support. You can also prepare by writing down any questions you have so you don't forget anything that you feel is important for you to ask.
This is the 2nd meeting. But in the first one they asked who we wanted present. And the people we said are not attending I'm just so confused.
And support wise I will get someone. Thank you for your advice
Hi it sounds so stressful, I hope it goes well for you, and eventually you get the answers you need, I have never been to anything like that so I am just thinking about you and sending hugs, take care and let us know how it goes xx
Thank you. I had my meeting it wasn't too bad. I found out loads and they have admitted all their wrong doing. So now.. I'm looking to getting my son as healthy as can be thank you everyone for advice and love x
