I have been on the pill for over 4 months now and I have started to get irregular periods where I’m on and off every week, is that normal ?

Hi Is it normal... no, is it common ....yes. It might be what they call breakthrough bleeding.

Were you taking another contraceptive for a long time before and have changed to your current one?

Are you taking any other medication that could possibly interact with the pill..

Have you forgotton to any or taking it at a different times.

Have you had a bout of sickness.. vomiting ?

This might sound an odd question, but are the packs identical.. i.e. the same strength tablet, made by the same company and made in the same place?

I suggest you see your GP. They'll probably ask the same questions and ask what colour the bleeds are and if it's a light or heavy bleed.

If may just mean that the one you are taking is not right for you, and they'll put you on a different one. If it's the first time you've ever taken the pill you may find you have to try several different ones to find one that suits you because everyone's hormone balance is different.
