Hi Eds it's illegal here and I've read about it for various things including pain relief. I wish I could try it just to see. By the way operation cancelled, think it's pneumonia. Xx

I guess the question is how would you take it? We think of smoking weed which would probably be bad if you have asthma. However, I assume there are other ways to ingest it. I've found this website (see below) that looks into the health benefits of cannabis. I suppose there would have to be further research to see whether cannabis can help in the long term, but there seems to have been some studies. Interesting read to say the least! :-)

I personally would never try it as it may cause an asthma attack and I would never risk that.

Even if you took it another way, such as eating it, marijuana has serious side effects if you use it long term on your physical and mental health. Moreover, it may mask other symptoms you have which need treating. I'd avoid it if I were you as it is quite risky.

I've been researching about CBD oil which is from the cannabis and help plant. It's becoming more known for the medical properties especially for people with MS and Fibromyalgia with good results. I am not sure about asthma but I've recently bought oil and capsules which are legal in the UK and Europe and many areas of the US as it doesn't have the thc content which causes the 'highs'. I am willing to try anything to reduce my pain and inflammation in my joints but as an asthmatic would never smoke or vape it. It's available in suppositories which people with MS are saying helps greatly with leg spasms.

I'm going to do a trial and error for a couple of months to see if my joint pain improves and anxiety. CBD oil known as Cannabidoil, below is interesting link. There's loads on Google if you type in cbd oil.
