My GP has told me take 4 puffs twice a day in addition to my clenil. Giving me palpitations and making me feel hot. Is this normal? Isn't 4 puffs too much??

Yes 4 puff twice a day of servent is too much maximum 2 twice a day national guidelines. But a specialist such as your consultant can prescribe higher doses.
I had this experience myself with three times the prescribed dose in January made me feel quite shaky consultant changed thus and added additional long acting reliever spiriva.
