Anyone taking amitriptyline and put weight on

Not aware it was a weight gaining drug I take it at night to help with the overnight feeding and bowel spasm/pain.

Not put any weight whilst on it and i take it for pain too.

Yes weight gain is a well-established side effect of amitriptyline - though not everybody gets it (or any other side effect).

I am taking amitriptyline for nerve pain in my shoulder. I take between 4 and 5 a night and have been for about 8 months. I haven't put on weight, but I have been following the Slimming World diet so whether that helped I don't know. But as already discussed weight gain is a side effect
