Chest pain after asthma attack

Hey have noticed recently straight after an asthma attack my chest feels really tender and hurts for a good few hours after. My friend who also has pretty bad asthma says she's never experienced this.

Is this normal?

I often get this and was told that its becaise you use muscles that you dont normally use to breathe with duringa bad attack.

If it does persist then its always worth visiting the GP

I have this problem. I was recently in hospital following an attack and the doctor said the tenderness was du to me coughi too hard during an attack, as it pulls the muscles around my ribs and suggested that I try cough more gently!!!!!!!

yep i get this. mine hurts for ages after and the doc said its from coughing and inflamation. hope you are feeling better x
