3 year old on Clenil 50 twice a day - not sleeping !!

Hi - I am very new to this so forgive me if this question seems pointless, my 3 year old son has been put on Clenil modulite 50 (two puffs twice a day) -he has only been on it for around 3/4 days but last night he was up all night not coughing just wide awake - he is very hyperactive during the day too and quite difficult to deal with all of a sudden.....

Has anyone else had this problem or am I just jumping to conclusions that it is the medication - its out of character so just want to rule it out, thanks.

My son who is 2 1/2 went through many inhalers and granules before finding one that didn't make him hyperactive and sleepless. He's now on seretide 50 and is much better.

Go back to your dr and ask for something different as it is a recognised side effect especially in pre-schoolers
