Hello

I know it's scary but it really will make a difference. I could walk further and felt much better by the end.

Great new word 'Pufficated', just about says it all. Lets hope you make 300 metres by the end of rehab and theres plenty of time for Rio. Keep up the good work Whit.

At 59, I'm the youngest at my PR group (the oldest is in his 90's, bless him!). Most of us have emphysema, one has IPF. This is my second lot of PR: the 1st was when these courses just started and was barely more than 'boot-camp' (2 minutes per exercise , 1 minute rest/to get to next one) and no educational talks at all. Bad experience all round, which made me very reticent about doing another one. However, I am loving this group. We do as much as we can per exercise (in my case not a lot, lol!!) for the first hour, then a cuppa and a talk. Brilliant. Halfway through it now =( and although I still can't do much physically, it has helped so much to lift my spirits :D

ps - If we can all start using that wonderfully expressive word 'Puffticated', maybe we can get it into the Oxford English Dictionary - it worked for 'Numpty'!!

Hi Jude, I am going for my 1st assesment for PR on wednesday and feeling apprehensive about it but reading what you say it sounds pretty good, I know the exercises will be tough but just being with people with the same condition will be good too, the cuppa and chat sounds more interesting though lol, thanks for making me feel better about it, take care x

Best wishes Ju

Forgot to say, apart from the IPF guy, I'm the only one on oxygen!! It is good fun, Ju, after a winter of semi-hibernation it's a real pick-me-up! Enjoy!
