We need some food supplies. So despite the snow still falling here, I will put on my boots, warm clothes, snood and walk to the shops.
I may be some time .............

Remember the rule of artic survival,,,,,,,, GET SOMEONE ELSE TO GO,,,,,,,,,,,,,HAHAHAHA
Actually, my husband is coming with me. Wish we had a child's sledge though. I feel the need to get out of the house, I'm being too inactive with this weather and I think I have cabin fever lol. Not been to the gym since Tuesday, so no exercise.
try chasing your husband around a bit,,,you never know,,,,,he just might let you catch him,,,,,,,,,,,then you can live on love,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it great to be naughty sometimes hahaha, keeps you warm as well
1st rule for winter.keep out of the cold................

it looks lovely out there but it is Cold..
No snow here and good old Sainsburys delivered yesterday
Most people I know have online deliveries, but I've never done it yet. I don't really know why except that I like to browse.
Do you find you get many substitutions?
Lynne xx
Our substitutions from Tesco became so frequent we stopped using the service. I will not be venturing out though as we have a good eight inches of snow here. As advised by id, I get someone else to go.
Thanks Aunty. I'm back and fine. There isn't anyone who can go for me apart from my husband, and we went together. None of our families live nearby.
I am find to get about though, as long as I cover up my nose and mouth, so i am very lucky. An early tip I learned on here.
I wondered about substitutions. I have read that Waitrose do the fewest, but who can afford to buy all their food from there? Lol.
Lynne xx
I live fairly ruralish in N.Wales and we only have the Co-op and Iceland. The only supermarket who deliver here is Asda and I use them occasionally. You get the opportunity to "Do Not Substitute" when you order online, I always tick this as I would rather not have substitutes for a lot of items. Don't know if this facility is available with any other online supermarkets.
Well done Lynne, sometimes you just have to get up and go even if its taking a little chance with the weather. You just can't wait around for perfect conditions, I certainly don't and mainly get away with it. Online delivery just is'nt the same as getting out and meeting people, we need a little human contact.

I shop with Sainsburys'. I have very few substitutions and they are always in a separate bag so if you don't want to accept them you don't have to. I have tried the others but Sainsburys is by far the best and it seems as if their drivers are the most cheerful too. Why don't you try it you only need to do it once to see if it works and nothing ventured nothing gained (there I go with the sayings again )
I might give it a go Jan. I get most of mine from Sainsbury's too.

Me too Jan...I also use sainsburys online(usually around every 6 weeks) and generally find the shopping is ok. Delivery drivers cheerful and helpful - they always empty the items on to the worktop and allow a little time for me to have a quick check on everything. Try to wallk to local shop with my trolley each week to top up but it's getting harder lately. Can't comment on any other supermarkets but interesting to read others' experiences...Anyone tried Ocado? - waitrose, I think.

I use Ocado for my mother. They are excellent , prob not the cheapest but ultra reliable. V few substitutions HOWEVER I think they do not deliver nationally.
Fully stocked up,one foot of snow, me sat indoors in warm, posting to HealthUnlockders
It's a lovely day today!
We are so lucky here in South Wales it is cold but we have not had any snow.
