It varies for me depending where I have been or what I am doing etc. On average I would say about six times a day. It also depends on the weather if I am outdoors.xx

I don't use it at all.

Hi Robson.I use mine as and when required uo to 7-8 times a day sometimes, other days not at all..I now know when I need to use it.If I am going to do something strenuos I take A few puffs first rather than wait until I feel poorly.

roflmao @ Gordon ! :)

Only once getting out of bed more in hope than expectation of getting something from taking a pick me up that will start the day, otherwise nothing doing.

With me it can be none or several times a day that I use the blue inhaler. It depends on what I'm doing. A day trip to visit Dad will see me use it perhaps 10 times in all, whereas a day not doing a lot at home will mean it's not used once.

Some have it prescribed to use 2 puffs 4 times a day, or similar. Mine is simply 'as required'.

We are all different :)

I use a nebuliser to deliver my Ventolin (same as the blue inhaler) every four hours, or at least I should, but sometimes I only have it three times a day.

That's a good tip from King of the Cocktails about using your blue inhaler BEFORE doing anything that's going to badly effect your breathing (showering, exercising, hair washing etc.).

I use it as and when required. The nurse gave me guidelines of 2 puffs every 4 hours. But I only take it if needed when I am well which fortunately I am at the moment. I always take 2 puffs before bed though as I have learned I can get an asthma attack if I don't. When I am not well I hammer it...

I carry one with me at all times and only use when necessary - fun when trying to cross a road!

As when need it then two puffs some times three.

Only as and when I need it. :-)

Usually between 4 and 10 puffs a day but sometimes more.My GP told me to use it when nec but to be aware that if I was in a desparate state it would not be as effective as I would have become used to it.I couldnt live without it.

Hi Robson! My son age 4 has the blue Inhaler only when needed & has it more when he's had an asthma attack then he has a regime of ten puffs every 4 hours the first day of attack then the next day 6 puffs every four hours then the day after 6 puffs every 6 hours then the day after that 4 puffs every 6 hours then it's nothing unless needed but he has to take his brown Inhaler every day twice in the morning & twice in the evening plus he has to take Singulair granules one before bed time every night, recently he had one night without the Singulair simply because the chemist had none in stock so he went without it was a worry I asked the pharmesist if he'd be ok for one night, well I was hoping he would be because as far as I'm concerned he is taking too many medicines & dread what it's doing to his health! Do you think or anyone else think this is too much medicine for a young child to take? anyway he coughed & coughed & coughed untill he was almost choking I gave him his anti- histamine that he rarely takes, he was given for his exeama & hayfever, & that calmed him right down, thankfully I had some leftover as the blue inhaler wasn't helping either,.Well this just goes to show he can't go without the Singulair yet! Do you get any relief from the blue inhaler at all? I hope it does work for you & wish you & everyone else on here to get well soon!
