Sorry, I have looked and I can find many sites selling these preparations, but nothing listed on a NHS or other notable UK source to support the use of either.
There is a herbalists I use for supply of Vitamin D3 capsules and have had other things from them in the past, they've quite a range as it's a proper retail shop. I've searched their catalogue and can find neither item there.

Hi ridingscarlet
I have also had a look around the internet and also chatted to our nurses and this is not something we are aware of.
Where did you see the research? If you can let us know we can try to see what we can find out. We would advise discussing with your doctor/nurse to checkd the safety.
Cheers
Jo
Thankyou for your answers.I first read about them in the book natural therapies for emphysema and copd by dr robert green and just typed it in google and there seemed to be quite a bit about it.I know silver is excellent at killing bacteria and viruses so it seems sensible that it would prevent exacerbations and the gluthione is meant to help repair damaged lung tissue.I have spoken to my dad's consultant about them and he has not heard of them either, just seems a shame,we need to use all weapons we can against this disease
