hi all has anyone had a lung reduction operation got to see specialist monday have got severe emphasema and grade 1 respiratary faliure

My consultant says I don't need any surgery at the moment.. I too have very severe emphysema but Grade 2 respiratory failure.

I had a giant bullaectomy and the top of my right lung removed in September, it is quite a big op tice over and I am feeling much better and can do far more now, I was booked in for a spiro test to see what the improved numbers where last week but i had had another infection sohad been on the antibiotics so had to put that off until next month.
