Had urgent appointment with the respiratory consultant, HRCT and lung function tests on the 6th Feb. The only thing showing on the test was a reduced DLCO. This along with the raised FeNO and strongly positive Avian precipitins, and I've started coughing again, I hope I'm not getting another infection. My follow up for the consultant isn't until June, and this seems an awfully long time off. Is it normal to wait wait so long. Thanks.

Next appointment.

Hi, I think long waits are the norm these days unfortunately. My mum was nearly 6 months waiting to see the heart specialist. In the mean time it may be best to keep seeing your GP if you are worried or feel something is different.
I had to wait a whole year for a follow up after my Lung Function tests. Unfortunately that seems to be fairly normal these days. If you are worried or feel worse I imagine you could get your GP to refer you sooner. Hope it proves not to be another infection. xx
Hi , I've spoken to his secretary and she was going to give me a cancellation tomorrow, but unfortunately the CT result isn't back. If she can't chase it she said she will bring it forward , so I am just waiting in case she phones.
Good luck with that then. x
I just want to know the result, especially because of the Avian precipitins as I have pet parrots which I love so much and have had for 30 years. They are my children as I wasn't able to have human children.
