goodmorming . another day another dollar hahh ot should i say do i take another CARBOCSTEINE 750MG . Went to see top man at hospital i asked him for carbetc etc i started them on 15th jan 3 a day made my breathing worse, phoned drs i was told try two a day i did but same so i will try my POTTERS cattarh mucus tablets until monday morning to try to get through to the Drs . Let me know what you think i have now Emphysemia and bronchitus so a nice start to 2025 lov xxx Sandra

Carbocysteine is to thin mucous more making it easier to expectorate.ru doing a cpl of lung clearance sessions ea day? If Yr thinning it, it's necessary to do - take a look at lung clearance techniques on aluk website ( acbt,postural drainage etc).it should help reduce coughing in between & put u more in control x

You may get on better with N-acetyl cysteine, ask your gp for this, quite a few members use this x

hi izbl what is the thing ykou are talking about?? that CARB STUFF NEARLY KILLED ME NEVER AGAIN .I started on 15th jan 2 on that day then 3 each day then on the 24th two a day then sat only one its now wed 29th and i think they are out of my system . these were 750mg so quite strong . please let me know about N cysteine ty SANDRA xx

It's a mucus thinner that you can get from your gp NAC for short and is available in effervescent tablets, which are easier to take. Quite a few members on here use them.

good morning l also take carbocystiene 1x3dailyit has helped a lot ..my cough is very dry and lhavent any of that horrible stuff to cough up any more , lhave been on it since last june so give it a chance but l do relise it doesnt suit everyone x

I couldn’t get on with Carbocisteine at all, made me feel sick all the time and dry retching, gave me the most vivid dreams as well, felt exhausted!
