Most of our lovely old fashioned lamps have been removed and replaced with stark downlighting LED ones. Some of the old yards still have the Victorian style ones which, though sometimes eerie, are certainly more in keeping.

What a lovely old looking lamp. We have the tall brash ones that look like they are from war of the worlds, one right in front of my bedroom that even my wooden blinds and curtains are unable to keep the light out, although I do like a bit of light in the night x
