Love this colour sky. When we had holidays in Kefalonia (usually in July) the sky seemed to be this colour every night before it went dark. We used to say it's that special sky again. A kind of golden pink.

in reply to Biofreak

It's the mixture of different colours it draws you

I'm happy you guys like the pictures. Seeing the sky each night always makes me feel glad to have got through another day regardless of how tough it was.

Your recent photos have inspired me to spend £3.50 on Ebay, for a "preloved" dress. All the pink and peach and golden colours of your sky. Arrived this morning, not tried on yet, but is beautiful.

I know what you mean Davey. I struggle with things too.

in reply to Mavary

For five years I was caring for my stepfather who was blind and suffered from mild dementia and then broke his hip and from then on he went down hill. Since he passed away it left me in a country I can't leave because of my health and totally alone apart from the people I have got to know . It's a total struggle but I tick on filling my day best way possible but mainly admiring the beauty around me

i have to be a cock eyed optimist or I couldn't function. At the moment I'm mega concerned about the effect of bird flu on out birds, wild and domestic, and have donated to the RSPB's fund to try and counter this. (I do make donations to human charities too). I hope and trust that our marvellous seabird colonies will recover from this horror. In the same way that I believe a remnant at least of humanity will survive the disasters we are inflicting on ourselves.

I like the lovely colouring on your photos ; my husband was much more interested in the UFO which Hellodolly spotted. He'd love to see a UFO -each to their own.🙃🤪🛸🛸🛸

in reply to Alberta56

😂😂😂 we all want proof that there's life out there but it's pretty obvious that were not alone . Just don't like the idea of the probing the aliens do 😂😂😂 leave that one to a qualified proctologist 😂😂😂😂

Alberta56 profile image
Alberta56 in reply to

If i see a UFO I shall hide. Don't like the sound of aliens, except ET of course. He can come and look after my wilting garden any time. 😂😂😂

in reply to Alberta56

With those long fingers I'm sure he could cure anything wilting 😂😂

Alberta56 profile image

He might be better employed curing the holes in the hosepipe. 😊😂😂

in reply to Alberta56

Apparently he is very popular in Holland plugging dikes 😂😂😂

Whenever someone used to say that we needed to save the planet, I used to say that the planet would be fine, what needed saving was the mammals (which included us) as our behaviour was dooming a great deal of life on this planet. I envisage the planet, with its continents still slowly moving, as they have moved for time almost immemorial, and life being reduced to the insects that can adapt to much higher temperatures, with possibly much less fresh water. How life in the sea will adapt I cannot imagine, as do not know enough about their tolerance to warmer oceans. As to humanity, some seem to be thinking that we can try to colonise other planets and presumably do the same their as we have dome here.

in reply to SORRELHIPPO

It's in man's makeup to destroy. I've been with Greenpeace since the 80s and just the same as Mr Attenborough Greenpeace have been telling the world this would happen and no one cared. Too late now damage done now

We had a pretty good sunset here yesterday- lots of fluffy pink clouds and the sky slowly changing colour. xxx

in reply to Alberta56

Don't see to many cloud's until winter 😂😂

I was too idle to go out and photograph it.

Oooh lots to look forward to then . I must be lucky then because I can start a fire without matches or lighter I can also hunt without a gun and can dress any animal and fish but I'm not a bad evil person so wouldn't survive 😂.

I don't want to be sarcastic or sound funny but there are some of us with terminal illness or near to so our health conditions kinda come above alot of things it's nothing personal it's just we have to make light of some things to get through the day 👍🏼👍🏼

In all honesty without any food or water apart from eating each other and drinking our own urine after filtration obviously there would be no point in surviving , 99percent of people would have thrown themselves off a cliff after the first month not being able to go on FB or any other social media outlet the remaining would miss one man and his dog on BBC two 👍🏼😂

No way was I being sarcastic, I can assure you. With my simple mind, I was a bit stunned that someone could put together something so deep. Suppose I'm a bit in awe of your intelligence. Regards, Ian.

Lots man's nature to destroy itself we've been in a downhill spiral since the industrial revolution and its just got faster over the years. If man colonised mars within a few years the cycle would start again .

I said this last year regards to the situation regarding COVID in the eyes of the politicians globally I add people like ourselves are a burden I don't mean doctors and nursing staff look at us this way because they don't but to the people who run the countries were just numbers and high numbers aswell that they see as a strain on resources financially and economically

O.k OK,sorry I spoke, enough is enough, take care of yourself, regards, Ian.
