What options other than oxygen available. Mum has done breathing exercise rehab at local hospital in West Midlands.

I imagine inhalers would help. They seem to help most people, but your mother's doctor would be the best person to ask.

Perhaps you would be best to talk to your mum's doctor about medication. Oxygen therapy doesn't help breathlessness, it just ensures that vital organs are adequately oxygenated.

Hello Sweetpea. 🙂

I think inhalers help to a certain extent and for a certain duration. For some they stop being as helpful as they used to be and the doctor may decide to do a medication review. Does she use a nebuliser? For my lung disease (Bronchiolitis Obliterans) inhalers were completely useless. I am sending you a link that may help your mum, and in it you can also read about pursed lip breathing if she doesn't already know it.

I used these before I had a lung transplant and I found it really helped me.

Sending very best wishes to you both.
