This is a genuine prospect for chronic bronchitis, but still in relatively early trial stages. A multi country, multi-centre interventional clinical trial began in the spring looking to enrol around 270 patients. The purpose is to assess efficacy and safety over two years, so study results aren’t anticipated until early 2024. The previous studies were safety and feasibility studies following two groups of 30 patients over 12 months, so this bigger study is designed to confirm that there is widespread benefit, and that the benefit is sustained.

For people with pure Emphysema i can not see the benefits,we do not suffer from chronic bronchitis and no amount of pulsed electric fields aimed at our airways is going to relieve our breathlessness caused by the lack of viable alveoli to participate in gas exchange and the studies involved are a such a small scale regarding patient base.just my opinion but if you excuse my play on words i won't be holding my breath for this one.
