We’re after stories of people who have been living with the longer-term effects of COVID-19, to raise awareness and help other people living with lasting symptoms. If you’re happy to share your story and for it to be written up as a blog for our Long COVID health advice, do get in touch, wdavies@auk-blf.org.uk

yes it took 8 weeks to get over it ("I thought") but after quite a while I have again lost the sense of smell although i can smell nasty smells. but not perfumes, aftershave, cooking etc. My sense of balance has gone and my walking is bad, (I get breathless but ( I believe that is because covid makes the blood that carries the Oxe go from boat shape to flat ) I do have COPD but this is a different breathless)as soon as I start to walk it starts but if I push a trolley in the stops and I don't lose my ballance I believe it is long Covid. also I feel tired in the afternoon and have a snoose, something I have Never done before. I'm looking forward to the time this all stops so that I can go out again without worrying that I might walk so far and not have the breath to get back home.

Sadly yes I had it before healthcare staff were being tested and before we had PPE so feb 2020. I'm still living with the effects, under post covid syndrome clinic, and cardiologist for my lasting symptoms. Have been of work sick for 12 months literally had to learn to walk up the stairs again, just started a new job this week.
