Sunshine and covid

Morning everyone another sunny day on Rhodes well yesterday another 117 cases and the daily average is increasing to 150 per day and there's still a lot of vulnerable people who haven't been jabbed yet not because they didn't want it but because they can't get to the centre to get it done , apparently they are having people go round to houses to dish out the jab which will take some time and man power . So for me I'm back to how I had been before eased restrictions stuck in the house and barely go anywhere apart from pharmacy and health appointments. The economy may have won the toss but it's the vulnerable paying the price . But nothing new there .

You take it easy Davey and keep yourself safe. I hope people get their jabs now so things can start to improve. Xx

Jabs have gone well here except for those who can't get to the other side of the island to be jabbed like my dad but now things are moving in the right direction for home inoculations . Obviously like everywhere else you have people who won't have the jab for personal reasons or think that their invincible and covid is a bad cold like my neighbor .

Your neighbour could/should get jabbed for your peace of mind. I wish someone would point this out to him/ her.

That’s wonderful they are now mobilising a community drive with vaccinations..I hope it’s done swiftly as possible.

Keep up the hand washing etc and being alert to surroundings. You have done so well shielding your step dad also

in reply toMaggie_Mae

Sorry for delayed response been very preoccupied for the first time 👍😂 yes I'm keeping on top of everything my dad's easy he doesn't go out so he's pretty safe and I always still wear a mask around him , he's not a person I can actually explain anything to and I mean anything he's always in his own world . That's the dementia unfortunately .

in reply toMaggie_Mae

Do my best but at the end of the day I have to draw the line and admit that I've done my part and make sure he gets the support he needs so I can live my life out now I have a reason to push the boundaries .

You know your own life and your dads , I’m sure you will make correct decisions for both you.Saw in your other thread , sorry to bring it to this one , but just to add. It’s important for your health & happiness that things are addressed.

Wish you well Davey , know you’ve hard time lately .

Hey is those fires calmed down now?

in reply toMaggie_Mae

Fires are under control just about still odd ones but have to be vidulant . I know certain issues have to be addressed and will be but over the past five years it's all been a one way road and now I have to make sure I get myself on the right track

We’re still on 400 per day but vaccination is 70% here in Cyprus. A lot of vaccination hesitancy here and it’s the under 50s that are in hospital mostly not vaxed. I’ve not been outside with these 36o temperatures for weeks. Just waiting for September 😊

in reply toCyprusPat

Well let's hope the temperature drops because in all honesty I can't see it, the climate as changed so much . As we look around all the fires extreme heat floods mud slides and earthquakes and all the devistation left behind in all the areas hit haiti and their recent quake it pulls at your heart , and all this along with covid is too much to handle
