I have not been on here for such a long time and I feel very guilty that I have not been. This may be my last post though as I am beyond sad. I have almost no mobility now which makes it worse.
On 10 12 2020 my boy left me. He was my reason to wake up and to smile and now he is gone.
I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I remember all too well the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet and it hurts like hell. I know your mobility isn't good, but having people to talk to when you're feeling sad can help. I always enjoyed your photos of Fidget and perhaps (when you're ready), sharing your happy memories of him with us or others may help. It may not seem like it now, but there will come a time when you can think of him with a smile rather than sadness.

Hi fidgetandscooter so sorry to hear of your loss. It must be awful for you especially as your mobility is low. Don’t leave us forever just have a rest and come back when you feel able. Not all of us are on here all the time but come back if we have a worry or something we would like to share with everyone or a question on our health. Your boy would not want you to give up on anything and as someone said you have a wealth of memories. Do take care x

Mans best friend for sure. Sorry he left you and you'll miss him greatly I don't think we ever forget. But life goes on, and i guess like me going out on the scooter is a memory too. By the time the scooter is out of the garage, warm clothes on, you wonder if its worth it. And very few people out and about. Do your best, paint, communicate hope to hear from you soon. Jane

You have been missed here. Your presence helped others and would do so again no matter how difficult it my be for you just now. It’s now coming up to 3 months since I lost my dog Midge and I almost ground to a halt because of it also. But we know from the beginning that the loss will eventually have to be faced, it was part of the bargain. It has taken me a while to accept this and whilst it hasn’t eased the pain in any way it has enabled me to carry on and fulfil my obligation to my departed friend.
Such sad news. Let yourself grieve for you lost friend but please dont shut people out friends help us remember the happy times with a lost loved one, and help us through the grief. Sending you huggs
I’m really sorry to hear about your loss you will meet again at Rainbow Bridge. It’s a pity our pets don’t live as long as our pets, I have a very old cat I’m dreading the day she goes it will be an end of an era.
Yes, things look bleak and it’s easier to think about things we can’t do rather than the things we can do. But, it does get better as time goes on a cliche I know

Oh my I'm so very sorry for the loss of your boy ..They find such a big place in our hearts and lives and it stays with us for many years after their loss.

So so sad to hear of the loss of you best friend, your cute companion Fidget. Please try to think of the lovely time you spent together. It takes a lot of time and a lot of tears to come to terms but I hope you communicate with others as much as you can for support. Have you thought about rescuing another fur baby I.e an older cat for company. I know his place cannot be taken but it may help to have another friend to talk to and care for?

Hi, so sorry to hear this, I lost my darling Rosie just over a year ago and know how devastating it is to lose a beloved friend and companion. I still miss her terribly and have her ashes with me and talk to her every day. We were going to have a little goodbye ceremony with family and bury her ashes in the garden she loved to play in but it hasn’t happened because of covid. It does get easier but I’ll never forget her, she was my sunshine. X
