has anyone used a oxygen concentrator are they any good
Hi there - we purchased a Nuvo Lite 5 on 7th January this year for our father which is a compact and transportable oxygen concentrator that provides medical grade continuous flow oxygen from 0.125 to 5 litres per minus using standard PSA technology. We also purchased an oximeter so we could monitor his oxygen levels and adjusted his intake from when he was resting to exertion. He found the nasal cannula more comfortable than the oxygen mask to get the required level of oxygen. Unfortunately, my father only used this device for 76 hours in total before being taken into hospital and he is likely to go into a home and therefore we have no requirement for the device but as it has been used we are unable to return it. We are therefore selling the device in the hope it can help someone else. I am not sure if I have helped to answer your question but my father most certainly found relief when using the oxygen concentrator.
Yes, I have a static one at home and a portable one for when I’m out and about. I wouldn’t be able to live any quality of life if I didn’t have the portable one. It sits beside me in the car connected to cigarette lighter (when we can go out needless to say). It gets me in the garden etc. NHS should supply all you need for free but you have to ask. Do your research and tell them what YOU want, not want they think you should have. Joy x
