Stomach fluttering

My partner has emphysema and when reclining his stomach flutters when he breathes, just under ribs. Why is this?

Sounds like the diaphragm . This can often go into spasm there is no pain involved but it does feel like a fluttering sensation .Certainly moving can cause it or after eating as the stomach pushes up against it .
