Within an hour after eating a meal I feel like I am getting a cold. It has happened for quite some time. Anyone have this?

Thank you. I feel really bunged up. I think you are correct because it seems to be more when it is food that is partly prepared ...may be additives. Yes and a glass of red....bummer 😂

Do you also have problems with some of the food and fluids you've swallowed, going up into the lower part of your sinuses? That could make your symptoms worse if you do have a touch of allergic rhinitis.

I found out I did this after drinking cocoa one day. I had some phlegm running down the back of my throat from my sinuses, and when I flushed it with water and spat it out in the sink, it was cocoa-coloured three times. I now flush out the back of my sinuses regularly after eating and have far fewer problems with cold symptoms.

I always get mucus but I have problems using one of those nasal flush devices...it sometimes gives me a chest infection. Thank you for your help. 🙂

For years I just did it the traditional way, prepare a bowl of warm water with salt in it, and sniff it up through my nostrils. A lot came out forward, but some went through the sinuses and down the throat.

Now, after I've cleaned my teeth, I swill some water from my mouth back into the sinus chamber behind the soft palate a few times, and use my tongue and soft palate to suction it out.
