I’ve just been diagnosed with pleurisy and I’ve no idea how I got it. The day before my diagnosis, I was a little short of breath while running, but otherwise felt fine. I’ve had no prior infections that I know of, which gets me thinking could Coronavirus have caused the pleurisy? I don’t meet the criteria for testing but am worried I could pass it onto my family if I have it.

If you think you have Covid then you should isolate:- gov.uk/coronavirus
I suffered with what the Dr thought could have been pleurisy from middle of jan until beginning of april (after i had isolated for 3 weeks). Absolute agony it was and still i have no idea what caused it as no sign of infection apparently, but i'm now starting to wonder whether mine was covid related.
I would isolate yourself for a few weeks just incase and see how you feel after.
Hope you feel better soon!!.
Hi, could I possibly have this? I’ve been short of breath and feel like this tight heavy feeling in middle of my chest at top, but also get this pain in the middle when I breath in and sneeze? It’s been like it since March I had a bad cold not COVID as I had a test, I do have asthma too, but I told the nurse and she said asthma you get tightness but shouldn’t get any pain? I do have a doctor ringing tomorrow?
