Ozone pollution increases rates of COPD among current and former smokers, study finds.

Over many years, exposure to the levels of ozone and other forms of pollution found in most U.S. cities and some rural communities can take a toll on a person’s health. Two studies led by Johns Hopkins researchers describe the impact of pollution on lung disease, particularly chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), in the U.S.

It has become evident in my opinion that pollution in all ways is a major problem to the human race. The future is bleak I'm sad to say.

I believe you are right, even when it does not affect our health directly, it affects us indirectly through the affects on nature and the ecosystem. I believe that the planet is in big trouble and the world leaders are like ostriches, burying their heads in the sand.
