Royal brompton say it will be at least 5-10 years before stem cell trails will be done on humans, but this I think is positive news going in the right direction

I agree Emily61. The sooner we embrace stem cell research and apply them in practice, the better. Do not be hindered by ethical concerns usually from religious minds.
Hope so too x
Do you know of any other research going on have tried to find more but not had much luck. Interested to see if anywhere else has undertaken trials what phase and outcome. I have emailed the 2 professors at Brompton who did research to see what is being done at present. I.e what phase they are up to with this. I do feel we should be aware of research being done.
I'm not aware of anything Emily61 but do you think blf itself would be up to date on latest innovations? Hope things are ok with you, good wishes.
Hi yes, i am sure they would. found a few but again research being done on rats and mice..interesting read the 3 I found...hope you are well too. Have looked at research being done on blf
I live in the states and had stem cell treatment about 4 years (they used my own stem cells). It was considered research so health insurance did not cover it.
For the last 3 yrs, my health has been better than it was before. Don't know if it's due to the treatment, or: I retired a few months before the treatment (less stress), or moving to an area of the country with better air quality 3 yrs ago.
I had a CT scan about 4 yrs ago, I would like to ask my specialist for another one to see if there is an improvement in the damage that is done to the lungs.

Where was this done I thought it was all still research based which I have found quite a few ongoing research
