On the way to Wroxham this morning and there is a very strong smell of marsh gas, but we are approaching the season of Will 'o The Wisp and "Halloween".

No moorings left at Wroxham :( so have turned around and heading to Horning.

Still intermittent mobile signals at the moment.

Is that usual at this time of the year at Wroxham? Is it possible to live permanently in a boat on the Norfolk Broads?🤔

Hi Don, Marsh gas is normal at this time of year, Will '0 The Wisp is actually when the methane in the gas catches fire, spiralling across the marshes.

Liveaboards are not encouraged and the public moorings are only 24 hours at a time, like on canals, constantly having to move. Of course private moorings are different, as are proper house boats inside marinas.

Have you seen any Will O The Wisps? That must be quite a surreal sight. And probably nicer to see than to smell.
