No but it certainly sounds like you have had a panic attack. If it happens often please see your GP, they can help. You have a good weekend and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xxx
Thank you Bernadette I do feel better as the day goes on just feeling sorry for myself afew kind words help.thank you again 😙😗
Hope your feeling ok now Dilly 💕X
Hi Dilly, going to the toilet is the one time when it doesn't pay not to move a bit quicker than you would normally do. 😉 So there is always a price to pay by feeling a bit funny afterwards. Of course in my case I know that "I haven't got much longer" because of my excessive age. The secret is not to think about it because I know that later I will probably feel that I'm going to live for ever! My old mum used to describe those times as 'having a funny turn' and I read recently a A&E doctor had written COQ against the record of some of the elderly patients as the reason for their visit. It turned out that it stood for 'Came Over Queer' and the treatment was a sit down with a cup of tea. That's life, ours anyway. 🙂
That's sound advice you've given me there Don. If only had time to take my inhalers have a cup of tea then hack up the glue from my pipes before going to the bathroom.
I don't like that feeling that I'm about to Have a COQ. Take care 🙄🙄
I think the vast majority of us do dilly2,
It's just another complication of our lung diseases
I dread the morning slow scurry to the loo as well
I got myself a commode! Saves having to rush anywhere, and can be emptied later.
Oh please don't say that! you must have panicked. Put a Commode by your bed and see your doctor.
Dilly I think what you experienced was a drop in your oxygen levels to a point that was much too low . I suggest if you are normally on oxygen dont go to the loo without it especially in a hurry. Getting a commode sounds like a good idea or dont go before taking your puffers. Or take your reliever puffer with you and if your oxygen drops like that again take a puff straight away. When we rush and then stop our oxygen level keeps dropping even after we stop so it feels terrible just like you said you felt. Please see your Dr and explain to him what happens. Take care xx

YES. BUT IT SOON PASSES, ONCE YOU AZRE BACK ON THE OXYGEN
I have to say I keep a cylinder in my bathroom just incase... when in bath, in shower or toilet, plus when you dry yourself it seems to muck up oxygen levels, so safety first...keep a cylinder to hand
Sound advice here Dilly, a commode seems very practical, hope you dont have any more COQ's x
Hi, I have to put on my oxygen regularly to go to the toilet because of my stairs, I've tried it a few times without and I too think I'm going to die because it takes a while to get back to your normal breathing when I manage to put back on my oxygen.
I have found the trick is to go to the toilet even if you don't really need to and then you can take your time without oxygen and control your breathing more.
hope this hopes a little, it's all new to me too and very scary.
