Disabling a single, apparently noncritical protein in cells may foil replication of the viruses that cause half of all common colds, polio and other diseases, according to researchers at Stanford and UCSF.

Temporarily disabling a single protein inside our cells might be able to protectus from the common cold and other viral diseases, according to a study led by researchers at Stanford University and University of California-San Francisco.

The findings were made in human cell cultures and in mice.

Yes I am quite well, last week just one day of work. This week I will be back working full-time again. A two week retirement! More like a holiday really.
