How is an Oxygen review carried out please

hi, can i ask for more information on ambulatory oxygen. I have an appointment to see an oxygen nurse/ therapist. At rest my sats 95-96 the minute i get up and walk they can drop as low as 60, but i'm not sure what to expect. thank you debbie

Debbie the oxygen nurse will take a small blood sample from your ear and ask you to do a 6 min walk test with a pulse oximeter on your finger and she will check your sats whilst you do it,afterwards she will probably repeat the blood test to check your o2 levels and she should have enough info to determine if you need supplementary oxygen on exercise.that's just a rough guide but it will give you a good idea and it's all very harmless stuff.
