What a difference a week makes.

Last night I Celebrated my 75th Birthday with the ones closest to me my beautiful Family. Today my official Birthday, is a another celebration of Lunch and sightseeing. I am feeling Blessed and embracing the fact that I have reached this ripe old age of 75. Many don't get that pleasure to have been able to see my Grandchildren grow up and pray I have many more Happy years ahead of me. My diagnosis 9yrs ago of Severe COPD was a scary one but here I am and still as active as ever. Yes we get set backs but being Positive is the way forward. i was diagnosed with COPD and broncheactus a couple of weeks ago

i,m very breathless,nasty cough

have you any advice

is your breathing bad?

do you cough?

i,m so lost and depressed at the moment

Well I had a bad reaction last week when my Consultant changed my inhaler to FOSTAIR. Scary times and couldnt breathe and also terrible panic attacks. It has left me with a cough for which I am waiting for test results. I usually only have a cough when I have an exacerbation but my Consultant has suggested I take a low dose antibiotic every other day to control the amount of infections. I find not giving in the solution. Moving around, keeping active and exercise is the solution . Every thing I do These days is a lot slower but we all deteriorate with age whether we have an illness or not so this is the norm

Stay Positive. Maybe you need antibiotics and steroids as you should have these on hand as your emergency pack.. Talk to your Respiritory Nurse or Doctor who will help with your medication. Good Luck.xx Sheila.xx

Fostair was exactly the same for me and the main ingredient in it is in loads of inhalers so thats tons off my "to try "list

i am moving and exercising and doing everything slower[frustrating or what}

positive is the very difficult one to get as being newly diagnosed im still really in shock i just though oh yes my breathing will return to normal soon and the cough will go away

i also take the anti biotic three times a week

i hope your cough is soon sorted

Hi Marlene. I found I made my breathing worse by thinking about it then leads to anxiety..when I wad diagnosed 9yrs ago and already Severe COPD I too freaked out but I have learnt it can be controlled. It's Progressive like everything else in life. Not Terminal so remember that. I also take supplements . 1tsb Turmeric in a,shot of Pineapple juice, and 4 tablets each of Chlorella and Spirulina which I purchase from Organic Burst online

All pure .you will get a lot of advice on here, some good some not do good. We are all different but being Positive and keeping active best advice I can give .don't worry it dies get better. Xx Sheila xx😍

Good Morning HH, Yes, It Will be Wednesday afternoon when the Flood gates open, Tears galore. Thank you for Remembering. I spent Yesterday having a Kitchen Clean, all spick & Span, Hubby took advantage of the Good Weather(Today it's raining) and Mowed the lawn & cut Hedges before he went to work at 5 pm. My Little one Ebony has started Crawling at 6 months, so many cuddles and kisses to give for them Both. have a Great day Hun. Love n Hugs C. XXXX
