Misdiagnosed

Hi all. Hope u are enjoying the start of summer. I might have mentioned that my doctor took me off oxygen n said wear it for sleep. The reason being that he said my lungs sounded fine. With out the tubes I fine it's easier to walk around apt. I used to trip on tubes. Can't believe after almost 5 yrs the oxygen was given to me before i left hospital. I didn't know i could refuse the O2

When My friend had a quadruple heart surgery. They told him that he was going home on O2 .He said no way I will be dependent on that. If my copd is slight..its not from my asthma or emphasima. But I'm so tired that there are days I cant get out of bed . sleeping for over 2 days is norm. No energy n I have pushed people out of my life

I am not the same perky person I was. Are there any others out there that can sleep for days?

Good Morning Hun, I do Nod off quite easily these days,(watching TV). I do have Oxygen (16/7) and I know I will never be without it. Just stay Strong and I wish you well. xxxx

That's good you aren't having to use oxygen all the time, yes I get tired in the afternoon mainly but I try and keep as active as possible you need to with this condition, I have a little nap if I'm tired but after I wake I take my dog a good walk xx

Tiredness seems to have become a major factor in my illness. I have COPD Emphysema Asthma and vascular disease. Though only 23% projected lung capacity I am not on oxygen but I feel tired most of the time even when I am sleeping quite well and I fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I have to be very careful when driving.
