Hope you are soon on the mend mick 5. and have some antibiotics on hand. Maybe a visit to your GP may be in order with regard to the nose bleed. Think your body is telling you it's time for a rest at the moment.

Already had emergency pack reducing the Prednisolone gradually now back to 15 mg have to get back to 7.5 mg which is my normal amount, next week will be 12.5 then down to 10 mg then 7.5 A slow reduction as per requirements.

Oh dear you are having a rough time. Unfortunately it is just a matter of giving your body time to recover this unfortunately is a slow process that cannot be rushed. I do hope you are soon on the mend

Mick5, Hi, I am 57yts old, since diagnosed with copd, I have gradually got worse! No 2 of us suffer exactly the same degree of digression etc. If we did, they could give us a more accurate answer to the questions you and I put to them. I haven't been able to work since the beginning of may 2018, you are not alone my friend, hang in there, IT REALLY DOES TAKE A LONG TIME AND LOTS OF PATIENCE.

Take your time the work will still be there when you are better. Its frustrating when you can't get on with it. Maybe as spring pushes on you will be better and can get some done. Best wishes

Give yourself permission to take time off for as long as it takes. Get well soon.

Hi, first of all try not to get frustrated as it will not help you.In fact it will

do the opposite because you will then get anxious.I have been to that place and not

very nice !!!

See if your Dr will put you on 2 x 500mg Amoxicillin a day. This is what l was put on

at the Hosp. as a test. Not saying it is for you,but works for a lot of people.Have not been

to Hosp. since staring them. ??? LUCK

Sorry to hear you have been through it. Two exacerbations in such a short time will take some getting over. I wonder if you need a stronger dose of antibiotics, perhaps the first chest infection wasn't properly "cured." Perhaps anither trip to the Drs. especially to investigate your nose bleed. Try not to get down

Maybe you need to get back to the GP. Steroids can give you nose bleeds..it weakens your capillaries.,

I didn't know that, I had the tiniest nose bleed last time I took steroids, didn't think much of it. Thanks for enlightening me, you certainly learn a lot on here. Thanks

Hi, It doesn't get any better, too much to do not enough energy to do it. In the same boat have a background of high activity, now cannot even get up the stairs.

However don't get too downhearted there are treatments out there but you will have to research them, that'll keep you busy. BUT be wary of the net it can give you a blacker picture and could frighten you witless. Been there done it but frustration doesn't get better.

With you all the way. Recurrent infections leaving me lifeless at the moment. Work full time but spend days off knackered & just want to sleep. BUT not giving in & waiting for Spring to hopefully put a Spring in my step 😁

Hi mick5 be careful if you keep having headaches it could be caused by build up of co2 not getting out when you breathe because of your illness this is what the doctor told us it can get into your bloodstream and poison you worth getting it checked I know no two people are the same with this awful disease. Hope spring will be a new beginning for everyone on this site 😊 😊
