Why should them who employ carry out gov medical assessment’s escape Public inspector scrutiny.
Is the the fact the not inspected OUR answer AND why should such weighty evidence be placed on services that evades inspections public scrutiny.
Given scope of assessment’s from occupational to industrial injures to mental health.
If your reading this and wonder why too WHY not report your consern or write to your MP and ask them AS Can’t ask ATOS or MAXIMUS as use undisclosed addresses.
CQC are just useless. My son has been in rehab (what a joke) he has not improved one iota, he is schizophrenic. No surprises that the facility is private run by unqualified staff. When I got in touch with CQC they said that they did not inspect (the rehab unit)as they did not provide personal care. A vulnerable adult left to the mercy of money makers! So beware all you people who think the CQC are there to help us.
I must say I admire the faith you have in the system. After 21 years, I am well aware of what should and should not be............however, I feel that you have not involved yourself with the real world of Serious Mental Illness and their carers.

Like I said am not privy to your situation ... but will say I don’t have faith in establishment but I belive if you keep nocking on the doors someone will eventually listen.

My daughter knows someone who has been in a mental hospital for over 6 years, I asked her why he was in there so long, she said he has scitzophrenia, so I asked well are they treating him or just making him a resident ? He is a young man about 29. I'm baffled as to why he has been in there all them years and not been released, I think its a profit scheme.
What a waste of a young life, they will institutionalise him
The reason the CQC do not inspect atos etc is because the assessors are not working in a medical role.
They do however use their clinical knowledge to make the assessment.
They are normally nurses, but are not working as such when doing health assessments, just using their professional training to make the assessment.
Even if the assessor lies during the assessment they are not liable to any nursing regulatory body because they are not working as nurses.
Its absolutely disgusting, my partner had a home assessment by ATOS I believe. I was present for the assessment but what the nurse wrote down was completely fabricated, it took a full on appeal and a high court judge to overturn the decision and the judge even commented that it was clear the assessment was filled with lies, yet they are allowed to get away with it because they are working as assessors not nurses.
But honestly, I would question why ANY nurse would completely disregard what they trained to do, i.e help people, and start working for the most corrupt medical assessment compaines. Having seen how deceitful these nurses can be and their blatant disregard for the truth, I certainly wouldnt want anyone who works for these compaines providing me with nursing care.
They should be governed and held accountable for lies as a doctor would be
When I got ill in 2009, I had an assessment, the nurse lied throughout the assessment report. I couldn't believe what I was reading, I went back to work and lasted 12.5 weeks but the experience of atos put me off going back for ESA, then between then and 2013 I was having that many ups and downs but I didn't want to go back as I found the experience traumatic. By 2013 I owed money out everywhere from being in and out of work and just couldn't stop crying, I ended up going back to ESA and the Atos woman was completely different, I got told that I didn't need anymore sick notes for 2 years, within 12 weeks I was back in work because I just couldn't afford to be sick, as soon as the tears stopped I was job hunting, if they had been more understanding the first time I was assessed, I think I would have had the chance to recover and get specialist support. They didn't consider my anxiety and depression as an illness the first time, I wasn't in a penny debt to anyone when I first went on ESA within a year I was drowning, because going back to work whilst not well was a bad idea. It's a shame that I didn't see the second assessor the first time, I appreciate the fact that she was on my side and didn't lie, but it was too little too late. I was facing a debt relief order, losing my house, owed money to literally everyone. Now working when I'm well has become an obsession so that I can afford to be sick because I don't want the risk of ever getting myself into such a downward spiral again. When I'm sick now, I constantly remind myself it's just temporary, I'm in a cycle of working hard, saving money and recovering, simply because I can't afford being forced to go to places like the jobcentre when I'm crying uncontrollably or havent washed for a week. I cant afford to live on the money they give and I can't afford having my mental health stretched to the limit by an Atos worker writing lies about me. I would do anything to avoid Atos and ESA, even though my last assessment went ok, I'm mentally scarred from the first time
