At least some good news, one of my nieces had twin girls!
So cute π
On another note I asked the nurse to pull out all my reports for Wednesdayβs hospital visit and what do I see: growth of mycobacteria, named mycobacterium gordonae!!
Another maybe hospital thing found in tap water contaminating immunodeficient patient etc..
Carole & Pete, Happy Anniversary, Just remembered as I watched My Great Granddaughter having her 5th Birthday Party in Spain. Hope you have had a day of celebrations albeit Quietly and Happily. Love to you Both. xxxxx
Happy Anniversary wishes to you and Pete, sorry its late but my update is always about 12 hours after everyone has posted, hope the day went well. Irene x
I saw the twins' pic and came to visit here under the British Lung Foundation where I rarely am. They are PRECIOUS!! The one on the left looks like she got free of the monitor lead. I'm sure that was caught in no time because of the close eye they're under.
I'm sorry to hear about the your newest infection. I hope it's not much of a problem for you.
From a couple of internet sources:
Mycobacterium gordonae, a commonly found species of mycobacteria, is named after its discoverer, the American bacteriologist Ruth E. Gordon. M gordonae is referred to as the tap water bacillus because it is a frequent isolate in tap water. M gordonae is ubiquitous and may be found in soil, water (eg, ground, tap, bottled), whirlpools, unpasteurized milk, mucous membranes of healthy persons, urine, and gastric fluid. It is the most commonly encountered nontuberculous mycobacterium in water.
It's the least pathogenic of the mycobacterium, most commonly reported in immunocompromised patients.
Beautiful Twins, a lovely gift for their Great Aunt Fran. Congratulations To Your Niece & Partner. Will you be able to Visit them?. I have just put my Phone Down after watching my Great Granddaughter having her 5t Birthday Party in her home in Spain, I so wish I could have been there, But, Technology is wonderful. The Living room was alive with The Loudest Spanish Conversations amongst The Clan, Family & Friends, Of Course Lots & Lots of Children. ......I hope all goes well for the 7th Carino, I only know of the said Bacteria in the Mucus Membraine, I didn't know of any other causes. Bonnie sue knows about it. Hope your Mama is Better and you are Relaxed Amiga. Take Care. Besos. XXX
Two very beautiful and cute little girls. Congratulations to you all. And good luck on Wednesday. Take care and have a lovely weekend π Bernadette xx
That is good news. Thank you for sharing! Not so good about the mycobacterium though. Why did they not tell you about it? I can only hope that you knowing about it means that you might actually get somewhere with treatment now. Could it be they were treating your angry bird when they should have been looking at this one?
Wow congratulations you are a βgreatβAunt! But you were great before these characters were born huh. They are already plotting their mischief it looks like to me-theyβre telling secrets I just love it they are so cute for sure. Somebody is going to be AWAKE a lot for the next 18 years! Arenβt we glad itβs NOT us! LOL Iβm joking but on the inside very serious. Raising kids was an adventure but now Iβm done and grandchildren are the rewardπ€π have fun goin to visit those beauties
Aaah! What a pair of gorgeous little girls, Auntie Fran β€οΈππβ€οΈ How loveable are they??! Congratulations to all in the Fran family!
Hope this newly revealed bug gets sorted soon. Leave the taps alone there and get bottled water.....! And keep your mouth closed in the shower...! Maybe will help?? Roll on 7th Nov.
Twins are soooooo beautiful, hope you get to see them soon. Get out the vinegar for the bug Fran, a daily sip of apple cider vinegar should see them off, or you ha! Hope your Mum is settled and doing well. x
Ha! I know its shocking to drink, it takes your breath away but it is so good for your system. I put it with hot water or you could make a toddy, as they say it helps the medicine go down x
Lovely photo, nice to hear some good news for a change. Not so good about the bacteria though, sorry don't know much about that one unless I do some research stay well Fran and keep warm.xx
How gorgeous are they, a real pair of sweeties. Sorry about your ongoing problems, hope they sort it all out soon and you get a bit of respite. Take care, Christine. XXX
Total loveliness x 2 !! Ooh,just so blooming cute aren't they. So much joy in the air! Sorry Fran,I'm afraid I can't be of any help to you with your possibly contaminated drinking water. Blooming thing won't let me edit, delete or anything but I'm hoping you've got the gist of two members who may answer your water question. Gosh what a long drawn out performance, that was!!! Lol !!!
Ohhhh thank you for making that comment Squirrels πΏ
Computers have a mind of their own these days π
Yes our 2 forum scientists keep us busy π
Well the GP said not to worry about that bug at least it wasnβt TB!!!
It will take 8 weeks for a full culture to develop but it is probably transitory.
Have a good day x
Fran
The twin babies are soooo gorgeous. How I would love to hold them. Brings out all the maternal feelings again. God bless them . I wish them happy lives and NO lung disease! πΌπ»π₯π£
