Contradictions In Drug Funding Treatment.

I guess we all read about NHS NICE & What ever quango decides what drug treatment to fund.

One noticeable one IS hiv prevention drug .. and how NHS will not fund as preventative medicine IS not what they are about.

SO here is contradiction WHY nhs fund healthy eating drives HAVE quite alot to say on those who drink are obese and smoke.

And fund all them drives Is nice nhs homophobic OR are they obvious contradiction AND am i missing something.

So given all that I thought gov was there to make life better for people.

So can you believe MY shock when i read about Effectiveness of a new device to retain carcinogenic compounds of tar from mainstream cigarette smoke for the prevention of smoking-associated tumours diease

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/1...

Now i have really struggled to stop smoking AND no one as told me about this proven device.

But the have lots to say on everything else.

Clearly its ALL about tax not health or helping people OR even making them aware WHEN such things have been proven to be a suitable tool for effectively improving human health through the prevention of smoking-associated cancer diseases.

Shocked and disapoited in our tax oriented gov that puts there health purse wellbeing clearly before anyone else's

In contrition of what a public elected gov should do

Its very, very sad but it is true in the saying "money makes the world go around!" I'm not going to rant on about the big pharma's,politicians etc as its a Sunday and I'm choosing to relax (and do breathing techniques), that I will save for another day, lol.

Hope you and Dad are managing this heat and able to stay comfortable.

Hi.

Looks like an old anti cancer article from an Italian University Bio Chemistry Lab regarding the success of an experimental cigarette filter.

Dated early 2001.

I can't see what an old article has to do with any funding by our Govt or NHS, can you tell me what I am missing here?
