Well it means exactly that - you have borderline copd. COPD is an abbreviation for Chronic Obstructive Obstructive Pulmunary Disease. It is an umbrella term for chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is damage caused to the lungs the majority of time by smoking. If you smoke you need to stop and you need to lead a healthy lifestyle.
While it is a progressive disease you have been diagnosed at a very early stage and if you look after yourself there is every chance it will never get to the later stages. Any questions just post. Also have a look on this site as there is lots of info about copd. x
