Hello all.

Hi I have mild copd and my symptoms are: getting breathless when walking uphill and feeling a bit more tired than usual. Mind you I have asthma as well and am no spring chicken any more.
I have had a look back at your previous posts and it seems like you have been told you don't have copd? Maybe you should ask for more tests if you aren't happy with this?
There are lots of things that can cause tightness in the chest including anxiety. Do you think you could be suffering from health anxiety?
Hi, I don’t know maybe but I have always suffered with mild asthma so I know what chest tightness feels like. I don’t usually get breathless I have a very active job I’m up and down stairs all day and walk between 8 to 11 kilometres a day. I was told it’s not COPD that’s right but I keep thinking they’re wrong as when these symptoms come it’s every day for weeks at a time as where with my asthma they use to come and go for a few days here n there..
Why copd? If you do have a lung disease there are many to pick from! When you have copd the symptoms don't come and go but stay with you permanently.
It sound like you either need more investigation from your doctor or more reassurance.
Hello, I’m just going from what I have read and matching that with the symptoms I have. Apart from COPD I didn’t know there was anything else you can have wrong with your lungs apart from the obvious like cancer, pleurisy and things like that. I’m just clutching at straws really. It could be my asthma but in the past the symptoms of that only last a day or two and the inhalers work well. This year though the symptoms are lasting weeks at a time and the inhalers wear off really quickly..
There are many different lung conditions and it is impossible to guess which you may have, or diagnose yourself with Google. I suggest you take hypercat's advice and see your doctor for a proper diagnosis of anything that may be there. Please don't worry too much.
